Penna San Giovanni

Penna San Giovanni is a small town with about 1150 inhabitants in the province of Macerata about 60 km south of Ancona and about 30 km south of the provincial capital.
Penna San Giovanni is an old city that is set on a hill. There are some churches, a little theater early 19th century and at the highest point of the town, the remains of an ancient fort, from where you can enjoy panoramic views to the mountains and the surrounding mountain villages. In the summer the town organizes events at various evenings, including the Festa della Polenta and Otto Giorni di un Linguaggio Volgare, which are very popular among tourists.
