Senigallia

Senigallia (about 45,000 inhabitants) is a comune and port town of the province of Ancona on Italy's Adriatic coast, in the Marche region. The small port is formed by the lower reaches of the Misa, a river which flows through the town between embankments constructed of Istrian marble.
Senigallia is a famous Adriatic seaside resort since the mid-19th century, because there is a very long and excellent beach (10 km) , Spiaggia di Velluto (Velvet Beach).
Eyecatcher on the beach is the restored Rotonda, a round pavilion on stilts in the sea, which is used as a new stage for concerts, art and festivals.
