Arcevia (530m) became a town in the 12th century, offers everything for daily requirements, shops, bars, restaurants.
Charming enclave with its characteristic medieval structure elongated in the valley of Misa on spurs to m. 553, it owns its history to Carlomagno's gift to the Church. In the Middle Ages it became a important fortress for the Pope and the Sforzas. The main monument is the collegiate church of S. Medardo rebuilt in 1643, featuringin two paintings by Luca Signorelli its interior and the Baptistery. Also remarkable is the follwing: the chorus from the'400, by Giovanni della Robbia, the altar shoulder of 1513, and the Universal Judgment of Ercule Ramazzani of 1597 painted on Michelangelo inspiration.
